Beatrice Yardolo is Liberia's last Ebola patient.
Beatrice lost three children to Ebola.She was discharged on Thursday after a ceremony in the capital, Monrovia, bringing the number of known cases in the country to zero. This is encouraging news in the battle against Ebola.
Last year, Liberia was hit hard by the disease, it was only 5 months ago that the streets of Monrovia were littered with dead bodies. So while officials declared that Liberia was only a few weeks away from being declared Ebola free, they warned that the disease had flared up in neighboring Sierra Leone and Guinea. There is progress but the fight against Ebola is not over.
